WOCU helps you to eliminate information silos

Today I want to talk to you about information data silos, yes, those that isolate us from the other areas of the company and even from our own colleagues, a bit like COVID-19 is doing with humanity these days ...

Whether due to new needs demanded by customers or due to a change in the market, the business needs shorter decision cycles, committed workers, better collaboration, in short, we need to get rid of the chains of information silos and poorly defined procedures, but ... but how?

The solution is simple: teamwork and more efficient use of technology.

Traditionally, technology areas were separated into silos. Each area within the technology department worked with its own solutions and information, with little or no interaction between the other areas. Over the years it has been seen that in general, working in silos delays service delivery while at the same time increases customer impatience.

The absence of teamwork within departments generates conflicts that delay the achievement of common goals. It is clear that this mentality is a bottleneck that not only weakens the capabilities and growth potential of companies, but also destroys any value created by the company.

Eliminating silos should be one of the priorities of any company that wants to improve the customer experience and increase productivity, but to do so, the different departments have to integrate, collaborate and work together to achieve this common goal, therefore, adopting solutions that allow them to carry out these actions, should be a priority in the company, if it wants to get to make the most of its potential.

The problem is known ...

Silo is an approach that occurs when various departments or groups do not want to share information or knowledge with other people in the same company. It is a concept defined as the lack of communication and common goals between departments in an organization.

When these problems occur the next step is a decrease in the number of customers and operations in the business value chain.

What customer would continue to trust a company that shows so many inconsistencies?

All areas can use WOCU

If what I am telling you sounds familiar, then there is still hope, because the first thing we need to do to break out of this dark stage is to realize what phase our company is in.

If we want to remain relevant, we need to create, deliver and capture value through people, products and processes and this cannot be done without first breaking down information silos.

The use of WOCU-Monitoring was our response to address the challenge that all areas of the company could speak a common language about the infrastructure they rely on to create their differential value. With WOCU-Monitoring anyone can know the status of the entire environment of applications, servers, network electronics, etc. and respond according to their needs.

How does WOCU help you break down the information silos?

WOCU-Monitoring provides a unified solution, with an intuitive and consistent user interface, flexible deployment options, role-relevant views, and intra-departmental collaboration that provides teams with situational awareness, application and infrastructure status for both network devices, databases, servers, protocols, quality of service, bandwidth, latency, jitter, etc.

Here are some of the ways you can use the WOCU in order to eliminate information silos:

  • Use WOCU as your single point of truth - And from there plan the work.
  • Find the root cause of the problem earlier - You have the correlations between underlying network problems and applications.
  • Reduces incident resolution times - Gives the IT operation a broader view of processes and business impact.
  • Flexibility - Adapts specifically to each company's use cases and their SLAs.
  • Specific view - It creates as many views as you need by enabling and disabling tabs and permissions.

Don't waste valuable time and resources on managing several monitoring tools, which probably still don't give you an answer or an overview of your infrastructure.

Speed up your IT department and increase the quality of service you offer by using WOCU-Monitoring.
